Sydney is 4

Our little Sydney is 4! She was SO excited about her Frozen party.

Sydney is so much fun. You most often will find her in a princess dress. Most of them are so worn they look like rags. She wears them outside to play, to the grocery store, sometimes to church, and even to bed. (Thank goodness she did get a few new ones at her party!) She has a laugh that will make anyone start laughing. She loves princesses, stuffed animals, the colors pink & blue, anything that sparkles, playing outside, coloring, and just making a mess! Keeping things cleaned up is not a priority to her! haha She doesn't really like the idea of being a "Big Girl" She actually reminds us sometimes that she is still little. (And that's fine with us!)

Wyatt had to have an Olaf shirt!

She was so excited!

The amazing Frozen castle cake Grandma made!
We had snowcones (Sydney's #1 party request this year!) That's why her lips were blue!
I made an Olaf piƱata...Sydney loved it!

Kindergarten....Time PLEASE Slow Down!

Well, today was a BIG day in our house. Rylynne started Kindergarten. This time last year I was already getting knots in my stomach looking at other kids pictures of their first day. I just knew when her time came this year I would have to leave her kicking and screaming. I was wrong! She has matured and changed so much over the past year. All I've heard this summer is how she couldn't wait for Kindergarten.

I hear nothing but positive comments about her teacher...and the helper is MamaHearn!!! MamaHearn is one of my best friend's mom that I've known forever! So between an updated text from her today and a picture from our JenJen I knew she was in good hands.

She had a great first day and is looking forward to tomorrow. She told me that she had too much fun to miss us today! :( haha Sydney did comment a couple of times that she missed Rylynne. She didn't know what to do without her sister! This is a new phase for us, but we are excited to see what all she'll accomplish and learn. She's so smart and really loves school. I just hope & pray it stays that way!

Beach 2014

We spent a few days in Daytona this summer. The girls LOVE the beach and we couldn't wait to take Wyatt on his first trip. (Just a side note, Wyatt had lots of firsts on this trip...first trip to FL, got his 2 top teeth, started clapping, and put his feet in the water & sand!)

The trip didn't get off to a good start. Wyatt ran a fever the first night & day. He was up ALL night our first night there. So at 6am when the sun started to come up I took him out onto the beach for his first time in the sand! We were up anyway...so I thought why not enjoy it! He's pretty cute even with no sleep! haha

Probably one of my favorite pictures of Wyatt! When he pouts that lip can really roll out. He wasn't sure about the water at first. I guess it can be pretty overwhelming for a little guy!
Shawna's parents joined us the first day. It was great spending time with Nana & Pawpaw! (Funny story...see that little wave behind them? Well they didn't and I couldn't tell them in time...it got them all! It didn't help Wyatt's first view of the ocean either, lol)
Wyatt enjoyed some time under the tent in his pool. Still watching the ocean very closely!

Our 2nd day Oma and my parents came down. It's so nice to be surrounded by family! How many kids can say they spent some time in the ocean with their 87 year old Great Grandmother!

By day 2 Wyatt loving the water!

The boogie boards....Rylynne had been telling me she wanted to get a surf board at the beach so she could surf. Well, I knew she couldn't surf but I thought maybe we would get a couple of boogie boards. My thought was: We'll spend about $50 on boards that they will fall off of in 2 minutes and never get back on. So I talked to Mama and she agreed and said she still had several of the boards that we use to play with and she would bring those. Well...let's just say I missed the call on this one. They LOVED the boogie boards. They might fall off, but they would be right back on looking for the next wave. Rylynne has been telling everyone she was surfing. She even got stung by a jellyfish and still got back on her board once the stinging went away! (BTW: Toothpaste worked for the sting!)

Beach time with Papa & Grandma

And yes...Papa & Grandma can "surf" too!!!!

It really was a great trip...can't wait to go again!
