Camping...FINALLY!

For the past couple of months Rylynne has been begging us to take her camping! So this weekend Shawna and I went out on our first adventure with my mom and dads camper ALONE. Not sure how it would go, we decided to stay close and spend the weekend at High Falls State Park. It turned out to be a great weekend! Walks, wagon rides, bike riding, throwing rocks in the river, attempt at fishing (if you could even call it that), and everyone's favorite: eating junk food! Oma and Uncle Brian even joined us for supper Saturday night. We also ran into 2 other families camping just down from us that we knew. One was the family of a girl I grew up with. They asked us to join them Saturday night at the High Falls Water Park. They turned out to be ALOT of fun!

The girls loved it again. Rylynne is already asking when we are going again. Here are a few pictures from the weekend!

Waiting on Daddy to get set up when we first got there!
They did so good just sitting so patiently.
Morning entertainment while I made breakfast.
Our girls LOVE bacon!!!
Afternoon Ice-Cream Break!
Riding bikes: Sydney loves to catch up to Rylynne and ram her!

Watching Daddy get the fire ready.
Sitting out by the fire. Just for the record (only a few will understand this):
The time here was about 10:15pm.....I said I must have a little MamaHearn in me!

Saturday night we were invited to come to the High Falls Water Park. The girls had a blast! (Thanks Beverly again for asking us!!!!)
Let me give a few details from the night. The park has a toddler section with several little waterslides just their size and a cool pirate ship! They were having so much fun that Shawna decided to ask Rylynne if she would like to go down the BIG slide. She agreed and LOVED it. What we were not expecting was Sydney crying because she wanted to go! So Shawna took her down and she laughed the whole way down. I didn't have my bathing suit (long story), so poor Shawna was back and forth having to get them to take turns. Everytime it was Rylynne's turn, little Sydney would just start crying and pointing at the slide. Lacey (one of my best friends) started feeling bad for her and took Sydney down the slide with her. Lacey...had on her clothes! haha Let's just say by the end of the night Lacey was Sydney's new best friend.
Evening at the waterpark!
Sydney's new best friend....Lacey!
Lacey & Sydney coming down the waterslide! She laughed the WHOLE way down!
Daddy & Rylynne coming down the slide!

And this is how we ended the trip. While taking one last loop on their little "bikes" Sydney took a hard fall on the asphalt. It doesn't look too bad, but she is pretty beat up!

Time to Move the Pancake Mix?

Rylynne - 22 Months Old

Sydney - 22 Months Old

It really seems like last week that I took this picture to the left of Rylynne......today I took the one of the Sydney on the right. They were the same age when they got into my pancake mix!!!

You would think I would have learned the first time....but I didn't! Rylynne loves playing in the pantry, and now Sydney does too! How can you get mad when they smile at you like that?

Rylynne's Favorite Things at Age 3

3 Years Old...Growing TOO Fast!

Still can't believe little Rylynne is 3! She talks NONE STOP and asks 10 billion questions a day! (She reminds me of her Uncle Brian when he was little!)

She loves coloring, play-dough, dolls, "cooking" in her kitchen (chicken, as she calls it!), hide-n-seek, dolls, Legos, swimming, and just being outside.

Her favorite number is 3 and her favorite color is currently pink or blue polka-dots, haha.

She likes chicken, carrots, apples, bananas, waffles, Lunchables, Popsicles, ice-cream, and chocolate milk.

She is tender hearted, funny, bossy towards Sydney, and full of energy!

Her favorite TV shows are Dora, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Doc McStuffins. (Barney is still in the mix too!) Her favorite princess is Ariel.

Her new favorite thing to talk about is CAMPING! She is hooked! We are planning another trip soon.
Trust me, we hear about her wanting to go camping 3-4 times a day minimum!

It's Summertime!

Rylynne & Sydney Enjoying the Summer!

 She loves coloring on herself!

Rylynne & Sydney is their July 4th dresses from Grandma!
Uncle Brian bought them some big sparklers!

Watching the fireworks at Nash Farms (Nick, Oma, Sydney, & Uncle Brian)
Watching the fireworks....Sydney loved them, Rylynne kept her head buried in Shawna's shoulder 99% of the time! She told Brian as we were leaving that she likes the "sprinklers" (aka sparklers) that he got her, but she didn't like the big fireworks!
