Too Far Behind...

I looked at our blog today and realized how far behind I am!!! So this is just a quick checkup and I will try to do better!

First Camping Trip...My parents invited us to go camping with them for a couple of nights. They have a camper so we all decided we would just pile in and make a weekend of it. Well....to start it off, we were supposed to leave Friday and come back Sunday. Sydney ended up with an ear infection and then a strange rash so we didn't leave till about lunch time on Saturday. So we were then down to just staying for one night. We went to Pine Mountain which was only about 1.5 hours from home. Rylynne & Sydney had a great afternoon. Rylynne loved the pool, the playground, and just being pulled around in the wagon. She is our outdoors child for sure! That night she was exhausted and we just knew she would be asleep in no time. Well, everything went great until we mentioned to words "Night Night." Her whole attitude changed. She was then crying and begging to go home and get in her Big Girl Bed. "Big Girl Bed Home" were her exact words. To make an even longer story short, let's just say we drove her around twice trying to get her to sleep, but I finally convinced her to just rest and then we would go home. The next morning she woke up early. I told her Grandma and Papa would be up soon and we would have bacon and pancakes. What did she say "I want Pancakes home." haha Our little homebody! (Sydney was fine and didn't mind the camper!)

Swim Time! We have spent alot of time at the pool so far! Both girls LOVE it!!! Sydney enjoys time in her float and most of all sitting in the swallow area splashing and playing with her toys! Rylynne is becoming a water bug! She goes right in with her "Puddle Jumpers" on and is really trying to kick her legs to swim. She doesn't mind going under and getting her face wet. She will stand on the steps and count and then jump in. They are just too cute in the water. I am so glad to have kids that are not scared of the water!

BEACH TIME! Father's Day weekend we headed to Amelia Island for one of my Best Friend's wedding. The wedding was beautiful! We had a great time with all of the close friends. It was like a reunion! The wedding was Friday, so Saturday we were able to get up and spend some time on the beach!

I had the video camera going so I missed getting some still shots, but Rylynne took off running and splashing into the water. We put her "Puddle Jumpers" on and she was able to go out into the water and float over waves. She was giggling the whole time.

Sydney was crawling everywhere! I had to pick her up to stop her up from going under water. She
wasn't scared of it all either. She loved the sand!!!

Oh and an update on Rylynne being away from her Big Girl Bed at home. She did a little better this trip. The main problem was when she woke up in the middle of the night and didn't want to go back to sleep. So we didn't get much sleep, but over all it was a nice trip!

Father's Day 2011! We spent the day driving back from Amelia Island. Not the ideal way to spend Father's Day, but at least we had whole weekend together at the beach!

Our Little Sydney

I can't believe Sydney will be 1 in only 3 months! She turned 9 months this past Saturday. She has had a big month. She is now crawling, pulling up, and after saying Da-Da hundreds of times she finally said Ma-Ma! She is EVERYWHERE these days. She is not one to sit still at all and really shows her temper when you try to make her lay still long enough to change her diaper.

Rylynne is learning new things too! She is now counting to 12, singing some songs, and almost knows how to spell her name. She is loving summer time...going outside and swimming!
