Rylynne always helps me unload the dishwasher. She puts all the silverware up for me and gets most of it in the right spot! On this night I turned around and she was setting the table for dinner!

Two Growing Little Girls!

Wow, our little Sydney is now 6 Months Old! It's really hard to believe. She weighs a little over 18lbs! She is now sitting up on her own completely, eating baby food, holding her bottle, trying to reach for everything to put in her mouth, and laughing at her big sister alot! She loves smiling, splashing in the tub, watching Rylynne, playing Peek-a-Boo, and exploring her new toys.

Rylynne is now 23 months old! She is getting so excited about her party, although I know she really doesn't understand it. She just knows there will be a "parrree", "cup cake", and "baaoons" (aka: Party, Cake, & Balloons) She can now tell you that she is about to be 2. She talks none stop, but we only understand about 1/3 of what she says. haha She has really started loving being outside. We are just waiting on this crazy weather to stay warm enough so she can spend more time outside!

A Big Girl in the Making!

We took a big step Sunday and changed Rylynne's crib over to a toddler bed! We were not sure how this was going to go! Rylynne was excited when she first saw it, but when she realized that it was not getting changed back she cried and kept pointing to the front of the bed. At that point we were sure we would be making it back into a crib that night! haha

We first tried it with nap time, and after about 15 minutes later she was asleep! The red Pillow Pet beside the bed is where she wanted me to lay so I did. She didn't even try to escape!

Last night went well too. I laid by her bed for a little bit and then was able to get up and let her go to sleep on her own. This morning I heard her calling us and I walked in her room and she was still sitting in the bed. I am sure it will not go this smooth every day, but so far so good!

The Greatest Show on Earth!

Today we took Rylynne to the Circus for the first time. She loved it!

We went an hour before for the the pre-show to meet some of the clowns. She wasn't a huge fan, but she did give them a high five and say hey as she held on to us as tight as she could!

Once the show started she stood most of the time watching, laughing, and pointing. I think her favorites were the elephants and when the train came out with all the performers. I can't wait to go back in the future and take Sydney too!

This was close enough for her, but at least she wasn't screaming!

Baths times 2!

Bath time usually takes up about an hour or more of our nightly routine. Rylynne loves bath time. She takes a bubble bath and will play for a good 30 or more minutes in the tub.

Sydney has been taking her baths in the baby tub separately. We decided to try letting her sit in a seat in the bath with Rylynne the other night. They both loved it! I had a hard time getting Sydney to look at the camera for a picture. She kept playing with the bubbles! This looks like a new way to save some time! Of course, Rylynne had to help with bathing Sydney....

5 Months Old

Sydney is 5 months old today!!! She loves to smile, laugh at Rylynne, play with some toys, make a funny squeaky sound, and eat! She is really a happy baby. It seems that the reflux & colic are about gone!!! (or at least alot better!) She is now eating baby food too! She also took a big step and started sleeping in her room at night. (well I guess I should say Shawna and I took a big step!) She usually starts getting pretty squirmy around 4:30 or 5 and then she spends the rest of the morning in our bed though! She gets all snuggled up and sleeps till about 8:30 or 9!

Rylynne is 22 months! I can't believe we are starting to talk about her 2nd birthday! She is our little entertainer and makes us laugh ALOT! We really don't know where she comes up with stuff. The other night Shawna gave her a bite of cake. She leaned her head back, closed her eyes, and said "ummm......". You just never know what she is going to say or do. (or get into!) She loves trains, cows, pigs, tractors, dolls, and Minnie! It just makes her day when Papa receives a new Tractor magazine.
